Jacobs: 'Honored to speak at Jefferson County Senior Saints Honors Banquet!'

In a recent Facebook post, Rep. Paul Jacobs (R-Carbondale) shared his visit to the Jefferson County Senior Saints Honors Banquet. 

‘Honored to speak at Jefferson County Senior Saints Honors Banquet! 13 folks were honored for their lifetime community service and just because they are nice! It has been wonderful representing these people for the past two years! Great crowd, and a big thank you to David Keen for all he does there!” he posted on Facebook

On Sept. 16, the Jefferson County Senior Saints Hall of Fame introduced the 2022 inductees in a Facebook post: "Presenting your 2022 Senior Saint Hall of Fame Inductees! Please join us in congratulating this esteemed, generous, & deserving group! Cathy Olsen, Louise Kabat, Dr. Richard Garretson, Rev. Gladys Williams, & Nancy Bullard. Randy Sells, Melvin Kabat, Donna Jones, Dorothy "Dot" Porter, Deanna "Dee" Froneyberger, Rev. James Gordon, and Joe Wilks. Sue Tomlin. 

In 2021, the Senior Saints Hall of Fame Class included: Sharon Belcher, Dale Colwell, David Keen, Ron Lash, Brenda & Larry Pearson, Gary Phillips, Claudette & Richard Porter, Joyce Secrest, Cheryl Settle, Hope Stuckey, Sharon & Mark Terry, Doris Wallace, and Jaqueline Nesbitt.

Jacobs' time in the Illinois General Assembly began in January 2021. His committee assignments currently include: Tourism Committee; Higher Education; Health Care Licenses; Appropriations-Higher Education; Health Care Availability & Access; Veterans' Affairs.
