Village of Dix Village Board met Oct. 11.

The Dix Village Board met in regular scheduled session at the Dix Village Hall. Village President, Kurt Karcher, called the meeting to order at 7:01 P.M.
Roll Call:
Trustees Present: Judy Bronson, Whitney Lipps, Tiffany Gentles, David Barron, Matt Renaud
Trustees Absent: Sean Wilkey
Officers Present: Kurt Karcher - Village President, Sharon Bean - Village Treasurer, Brandy Mount Clerk
Officers Absent:
A motion was made to approve the regular board meeting minutes with minor changes for September 2022 by Judy Bronson. A second to the motion was made by Tiffany Gentles.
Motion Carried: 5-0
Treasurer Report: A motion to accept the Treasurer's Report was made by Whitney Lipps. A second to motion was made by Tiffany Gentles.
Motion Carried: 5-0
Payment of bills: A motion to approve payment of the bills was made by Judy Bronson. A second to the motion was made by Matt Renaud.
Motion Carried: 5-0
Building and Grounds Committee:
1st mess in the Community Bldg and charged the $50 fee. Had to call Ford's Plumbing to fix the issue.
Market Days, 42 vendors signed up, over 1,100 interested.
Street and Alley Committee:
Guard Rail is in.
Police Commission Committee:
September hours: worked 12 hours, with 2 traffic stops.
Community Organizer Report:
Trunk or Treat 10/28
Recognition and Comments from the Public:
Nana K - Likes the new swings at the park. Also wanting to know about the sidewalk. No updates yet on that.
Business Items:
Item #1: Presentation by Jim Zarlingo from Spectrum
Jim stated they are looking to be ready by the end of October, if not the first of November. They are about ready to start testing.

Item #2: Discussion of 'Slow Children Playing' Sign Installation
A motion was made by Tiffany Gentles to see if we can purchase 15 posts for signs locally, and if not then order from the sign company. A second to the motion was made by Matt Renaud.

Item #3: Discussion of Upcoming Election
All but Tiffany Gentles and Judy Bronson's seats are up for election, several seats are available. Dates will be posted tonight for packet pick up for next week.
