Woodlawn Unit School District #209 Board of Education met Oct. 20.

A regular board meeting was held at the high school. The meeting was called to order by Jeff Burkett at 6:00 pm. Roll Call was taken with the above members present. Also Present: Eric Helbig, Sandra Kabat, Brian Gamber, Sara Hays, Jennifer Shopinski, Kris Hodge, Melissa Hefner, Jacob Frick, Abbi Reynolds
A motion was made by Leslie Knox and seconded by Chad Phelps to go into closed session a 6:01 for the selection of a person to fill a vacancy on the school board. Members voted: Leslie Knox, yes; Dianne Fritschle, yes; Kyle Ritchey, yes; Jeff Burkett, yes; Chad Phelps, yes
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Dianne Fritschle and seconded by Chad Phelps to return to open session at 7:00 p.m.

A motion was made by Chad Phelps and seconded by Kyle Ritchey to go into closed session at 7:09 p.m. for the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity (5 ILCS 120/2 © (1) and Collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. (5 ILCS 120/2 ©, (2)).
