Coach Gallion's Thoughts
"Our mindset for this meet was to come out and compete well. The first meet of the year is about seeing where we are and what we need to improve on. I mainly wanted to see our athletes just attack the competition and that goal was achieved. For our men's team we had different goals for a wide range of athletes but across the board I was highly encouraged with the outcomes. With standout performances from a couple short sprinters in Connor Williams and Bryce Wiles. To Chris Graber taking on a brand new event, this year, in high jump and winning the meet in that event as well as long jump. Chris has put in a profound amount of offseason effort and it's great to see that paying off for him. After that I really want to highlight our 400 crew. Marcus Whaley beat his former PR and previous school record today. Erich Rhodeback dominated his heat to the tune of a PR. And Liam Near won the meet, set our new indoor 400 record and still has more in the tank. Overall pleased with this group and excited to get back to work Monday. Blessed that we get to go out and honor Christ as we compete for MVNU!"
