Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase for Sesser-Valier Community Unit School District No. 196.
I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Sesser-Valier Community Unit School District No. 196 for 2022 will be held on December 12, 2022, at 5:50 PM at Sesser-Valier High School, 4626 State Highway 154, Sesser, Illinois.

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $1,388,000.38.
The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $1,526,750.00. This represents a 10.00% increase over the previous year.
III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2021 were $127,474.80.
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2022 are $130,500.00. This represents an 2.37% increase over the previous year.
IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $1,530,021.73.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $1,657,250.00. This represents an 8.32% increase over the previous year.
