Waltonville Community Unit School District #1 Board of Education met Nov. 22.

Board meeting, held in the Waltonville High School FFA Room, was called to order at 6:29 p.m. Present: Anderson, Banach, Fassett, Klingler, Norris, Schaefer and Smith.
Motion by Anderson, Seconded by Klingler to approve the consent agenda as presented including the additional bills totaling $5,920.19. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Fassett, Klingler, Norris, Schaefer and Smith. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Correspondence from the Roger Newell family was shared with everyone present.
Jim Laird addressed the board regarding his concerns with the district raising its tax levy.
Motion by Smith, Seconded by Schaefer to dissolve the district athletic co-op agreement with Sesser-Valier for high school volleyball. Yea: Anderson, Schaefer and Smith. Nay: Banach, Fassett, Klinger and Norris. Motion failed.
Motion by Schaefer, Seconded by Klingler to establish a hybrid model of e-learning for the district. Yea: Anderson, Fassett, Klingler, Schaefer and Smith. Nay: Banach and Norris. Motion carried.
Motion by Fassett, Seconded by Smith to accept Joe Emery's resignation as the grade school and high school baseball coach. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Fassett, Klingler, Norris, Schaefer and Smith. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Schaefer, Seconded by Anderson to approve a Tax Levy of 4.99%. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Fassett, Klingler, Norris, Schaefer and Smith. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Fassett, Seconded by Klinger to set a Public Hearing for the Levy on December 15 at 6:15 p.m. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Fassett, Klingler, Norris, Schaefer and Smith. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Klinger, Seconed by Fassett to approve the resolution for WCUSD #1 to join the Illinois School District Liquid Asset Fund. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Fassett, Klingler, Norris, Schaefer and Smith. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Schaefer, Seconded by Fassett to approve purchasing each district employee, including bus drivers, a $75.00 gift card for Christmas. Yea: Banach, Fassett, Klingler, Schaefer and Smith. Abstain: Anderson and Norris. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, Seconded by Klinger to approve District Superintendent to apply for an Amazon credit card. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Fassett, Klingler, Norris, Schaefer and Smith. Nay: None. Motion carried.
District Superintendent provided a brief report on the school meal program.
