In an April 13 Facebook post, Sen. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) shared job openings at World Shooting & Recreational Center.

According to the graphic in her post, World Shooting & Recreational Center is hiring for a variety of positions, including sport and clay technicians as well as berm technicians, trap/skeet technicians, customer service specialists, customer service representative, special events technician, and a target-throwing machine mechanic, all with an application deadline of April 25. Positions for scorers and loaders have an application deadline of Aug. 31.
The World Shooting and Recreation Center features 120 trap houses over a 3.5 mile area, two sporting clay courses, 24 combination trap/skeet fields, and cowboy action shooting. The complex is located near Sparta and is the home of the Amateur Trapshooting Association’s Grand American Trapshooting Championships.
Bryant was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives in 2014, and was then elected to the Illinois Senate in 2020. Bryant represents the 58th Senate District which includes all or parts of Edwards, Franklin, Hamilton, Jackson, Jefferson, Marion, Monroe, Perry, Randolph, St. Claire, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, and White counties. She was chosen as Assistant Republican Leader for the Senate Republican Caucus in 2023.
Bryant serves as the Minority Spokesperson for the Energy and Public Utilities Committee as well as a member of the Agriculture, Appropriations-Education, Behavioral and Mental Health, and Education committees. Bryant serves as a member of the Senate Higher Education Working Group and the Commission on Equitable Public University Funding.
