In a May 31 Facebook post, Rep. David Friess shared information on how to get tickets to the Illinois State Fair.
In his Facebook post, Friess shared a link to a WGEM report on the opening day of the Illinois State Fair Box Office, which is June 1. Attendees can get tickets to a variety of events, from concerts to shows and events like the ISF Bares, Broncs and Bulls rodeo, the ISF Championship Demolition Derby and the ITPA Truck & Tractor Pulls presented by the Illinois Soybean Association, according to WGEM.
Friess was born and raised in Illinois, and now represents the people of the 115th House District. He was elected in 2020, and has served on a variety of committees including Adoption & Child Welfare; Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, & IT; Higher Education; Judiciary - Civil; Judiciary - Criminal; Revenue & Finance; Property Tax Subcommittee; Civil Procedure & Tort Liability; Family Law & Probate; Sentencing, Penalties and Criminal; Sex Offenses and Sex Offender Reg; and others.
"The Illinois State Fair Box Office is opening for in-person grandstand ticket purchases Thursday, June 1" Friess said.
The 2023 Illinois State Fair will happen Aug. 10-20. The fairgrounds are open to spectators and exhibitors from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. for the duration of the fair. Admission ranges from free for kids under 12 to $10 for adults on Friday and Saturday. Monday through Thursday admission at the gates is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors. The 2023 fair will kick off with County Fair and Horse Racing Day on Aug. 10, and each day of the fair has its own theme. Some of those themes include Veteran and Gold Star Families Day, Kids’ Day and Governor’s Day, when Gov. J.B. Pritzker can host special guests, including those who served as Governor before him.
