A special meeting of Shawnee Community College District No. 531 Board Finance Committee was held on August 9, 2023, in the Founders Room. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Andrea Witthoft.

V.A. FY24 Budget Review
VP Clark presented the FY24 budget as well as historical budget information. Items explained included the corporate personal tax and tax levy estimates.
V.B. Capital Project List
Discussion included the Gordian presentation which supports the development of the Master Plan being developed by Cordogan Clark. The Master Plan will be a comprehensive and strategic document outlining long-term development and management of the College.
The Capital Equipment List was shared. This list will, over the course of time, reflect the life-cycle of equipment.
V.C. Management of Financial Reserves
VP Clark discussed the College’s financial reserves and the committee will review the current policy and adjust accordingly.
V.D. Financial Projections FY25-FY29
The Board Finance Committee will be discussing the following topics over the next few months which will culminate in a recommendation of a long-term financial plan. • Unit Costing
• Creative Tuition Strategies/Options
• Strategic Use of Financial Aid
VI. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by April Moore and seconded by Andrea Witthoft to adjourn at 6:25pm.
All members voted in favor and the Chairperson declared the motion carried.
