City of Sesser City Council met Feb. 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

A special meeting of the Sesser City Council was held on Monday, February 19, 2024. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ashmore at 9:00 AM.

Council members present were Rose Bochantin, Dana Laur, Wayne Shannon, Travis Zettler, and David Bates. Jeff Hamburger was not in attendance.

David Baker and Nancy Robinson asked to speak about the Sesser Lake property. Mr. Baker, brother of Nancy Robinson, asked how the city planned to compensate the 3 widow women by the sell of the lake. Discussion was had by the Mayor, council, Mr. Baker, and Mrs. Robinson.

Agenda Item #1

A motion was made to enter into executive session to discuss city employee issues by Travis Zettler and seconded by Wayne Shannon. All those in attendance were in favor of the motion. Motion carried.

The Council entered into executive session at 9:41 AM.

The Council returned to open session at 10:37 AM

A motion was made by David Bates and seconded by Rose Bochantin to return to open session at 10:37 AM. All those in attendance were in favor of the motion. Motion carried.

No action taken.

A motion was made by Rose Bochantin and seconded by Travis Zettler to adjourn the meeting at 10:44 AM. All those in attendance were in favor of the motion. Motion carried.
