City of Sesser City Council met March 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

A special meeting was held by the Sesser City Council on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at City Hall. The meeting was called to order at 5:01 PM by Mayor Ashmore.

Roll Call was taken by Clerk Stacey as follows: Rose Bochantin—here, Dana Laur—here, Wayne Shannon—here, Travis Zettler—absent, Jeff Hamburger—here, David Bates—here.

Agenda Item #1

A motion was made by David Bates and seconded by Jeff Hamburger to approve the intergovernmental agreement with SIAP Solar as presented at the March regular meeting. All those in attendance were in favor of the motion. Motion carried.

Agenda Item #2

A motion was made by David Bates and seconded by Wayne Shannon to appoint the mayor to the SIAP board. All those in attendance were in favor of the motion. Motion carried.

Agenda Item #3

A motion was made by Jeff Hamburger and seconded by David Bates to approve the hiring date of March 30th for Bryce Maguire to full time at $17.50 per hour. All those in attendance were in favor of the motion. Motion carried.

Agenda Item #4

A motion was made by David Bates and seconded by Jeff Hamburger to accept the resignation of Nathan Harmon. All those in attendance were in favor of the motion. Motion carried.

A motion was made to adjourn at 5:12 PM. All those in attendance were in favor of the motion. Motion carried.
