Regular School board meeting was called to order at 6:36 P.M. by Board Secretary Karla Gunter

MEMBERS PRESENT: Karla Gunter, Emanuel Lowe, Ryan Skibo, Caleb Suver

MEMBERS ABSENT: Jake Page, Pokey Squires, Jonathan Edwards

Visitors present: Sydney Dugger, Amy Hamson

Appointed Secretary: Karla Gunter appointed Ryan Skibo as secretary for the July 15, 2024 board meeting.

President’s Comments: * Early Registration will be held on multiple days this year—July 16-31st online and July 30th & 31st in person.

*School starts Wednesday, August 14th for all students.

EOY Budget Mrs. Ing presented the board with the FY2024 End of Year Budget comparison.

2023-2024 EIS Report MOTION by Karla Gunter to approve the 2023-2024 EIS Report. 2nd by Ryan Skibo. 4 ayes (Caleb Suver, Emanuel Lowe, Karla Gunter, Ryan Skibo)

Crisis Management Plan MOTION by Karla Gunter to approve the 2024-2025 Crisis Management Plan and MOU with the “I Love U Guys” Foundation for the 2024-2025 school year. 2nd by Emanuel Lowe. 4 ayes. (Caleb Suver, Karla Gunter, Ryan Skibo, Emanuel Lowe)

MOU with ROE #21 MOTION by Karla Gunter to approve the 2024-2025 MOU with ROE #21 for at-risk youth through Project ECHO and STAR Quest Safe School. 2nd by Ryan Skibo.4 ayes (Emanuel Lowe, Ryan Skibo, Caleb Suver, Karla Gunter)

Basketball Uniforms MOTION by Ryan Skibo to use R House Sports for Basketball uniforms. The district will pay a maximum of $2,000 towards the uniforms and basketball will pick up the reminder of the price. 2nd by Karla Gunter. 4 ayes. (Caleb Suver, Emanuel Lowe, Karla Gunter, Ryan Skibo)

1st Reading of Policies MOTION by Ryan Skibo to approve the first reading of school board policies. 2nd by Karla Gunter. 4 ayes. (Caleb Suver, Emanuel Lowe, Karla Gunter, Ryan Skibo)

Executive Session: MOTION by Karla Gunter to go into Executive Session to discuss the assignment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity. 5ILCS 120/2c (1), as amended by P.A. 93-0057. 2nd by Emanuel Lowe. Time in: 8:18 pm.
