Bluford Unit School District 318 Board of Education met Oct. 17.

A. Call to Order and Roll Call of the October 2024 Regular Board of Education Meeting 

B. Opportunity for Public Comment: 

(We would like to welcome our guests this evening. We would like to remind our guests that the School Board Meeting is a meeting held in public, not a public meeting. The Board invites public comment during this portion of the meeting. Our guests are asked to please be respectful of both time and dif ering opinions. When directed by the Board President, persons should stand, state their name, and begin their statements. Guests must refrain from making any personal comments regarding any individual. Guests are asked to limit comments made to the Board of Education to no more than five minutes. You are welcome to yield portions of your remaining time to someone else to complete their remarks to the Board of Education. Please be aware that the Board of Education may not respond to public comments.)

2. Action Item: Consider approval to declare district equipment as surplus for donation, as presented. 

3. Action Item: Consider the approval to purchase a new 2024 LS Series MT242 Tractor from Outdoor Energy, LLC for $27,589.00 from the Operations and Maintenance Fund. 

4. Action Item: Consider the approval to purchase tractor implement equipment, including a 6 foot bush hog, 6 foot box blade, 42 inch fork set, 66 inch grapple, and 72 inch snow pusher from Outdoor Energy, LLC for $8,972.19 from the Operations and Maintenance Fund. 

5. Action Item: Consider the approval to purchase a used 2020 IC/CE 72 passenger Gasoline school bus from Midwest Transit Equipment for $95,156.00 from the Transportation Fund. 

6. Action Item: Consider approval of the FY2025 School Maintenance Project Grant, as presented. 

7. Action Item: Consider the approval of School Improvement Plans for the 2024-2025 school year, as presented.

To consider information regarding the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
