Bluford Unit School District 318 Board of Education met Sept. 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Board Vice-President Katelyn Lewis called the regular Board of Education meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Upon roll call the following members were present: Crystal Marlow, Jessica Case, and Angela Schrum. Superintendent Adam Cross, Principal Ryan Robinson and Kim McCormick were present. April Flexter and Ashley Snow were visitors.

Motion: Schrum-"to approve consent agenda."

Second: Marlow

Action: Roll Call Vote: Yeas: Marlow, Case, Schrum, and Lewis MOTION CARRIED.

Correspondence to the board, Superintendent, principals and maintenance report were discussed.

Motion: Case-"to approve the FY25 budget."

Second: Marlow

Action: Roll Call Vote: Yeas: Marlow, Case, Lewis, Schrum MOTION CARRIED.

Motion: Schrum-"to approve final reading of Board Policy Updates from August 2024 Press Plus Update 116 as presented."

Second: Marlow

Action: Voice Vote: All Yeas: MOITON CARRIED.

Motion: Marlow-"to approve overnight National FFA convention in October 22-25, 2024"

Second: Lewis

Action: Voice Vote: Yeas: MOTION CARRIED.

Motion: Marlow-"to declare district equipment as surplus for recycling, as presented."

Second: Schrum

Action: Voice Vote: All Yeas: MOTION CARRIED.

Motion: Case-"Approve Sports officials pay rates starting with the winter 2024 season."

Second: Marlow

Action: Roll Call Vote: Yeas: Marlow, Case, Schrum and Lewis. MOTION CARRIED.

Motion: Schrum-"to approve Intergovernmental Coop Agreement with Wayne City CUSD #100 for High School Boys and girls bowling for 2024-25 season.”

Motion: Case-"to approve the addendum to the 2024-2025 Student/Parent Handbook, as presented."

Motion: Schrum-"to accept letter of resignation from Bob Hamerski as Aide and Athletic Director, effective end of business on October 4, 2024."

Motion: Marlow-"to accept irrevocable letter of retirement from Karen Putt effective the end of the 2027-28 school year."

Motion: Case-"to accept letter of resignation from Jeremy Tate as HS Fall and Spring Assistant Baseball Coach effective August 14, 2024."
