A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Franklin County Clerk's office on January 14, 2025. The request, made by North Egypt News, sought information regarding the candidates running for the upcoming 2025 Consolidated Elections.

These details include each candidate's name, the date they filed their candidacy, and the office they are running for in the forthcoming elections.

We have requested these records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. We have also asked that these records be provided in an electronic format for ease of dissemination.
