City of West Frankfort City Council met Dec. 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. Mayor Arview Called The Meeting To Order Right After The Zoning Board Meeting Finished At 11:30 A.M. Requesting A Roll Call. All Commissioners Were In Attendance Including, The City Attorney And City Clerk. 

2. The Mayor Asked For Approval To The Agenda.

Commissioner Howard Made A Motion To Approve, Seconded By Commissioner Stanley. Roll Call Vote: All Commissioners And Mayor Arview Voted To Approve. Motion Carried.

3. The Next Item Was Discussion With Possible Action, Regarding A Request For A Certificate Of Zoning Compliance For A Solar Project. The Mayor Stated We Are All Familiar With It, They Presented To Us Before. The Zoning Board Just Met And They Are Making A Recommendation To Approve With A Few Contengencies. The City Attorney Stated The Zoning Board Voted To Recommend The Issuance Of A Certificate Of Compliance For Nexamp. Contengency Number 1. Eight-Foot-High Chain Length Fence With Three Sides, The Back Will Be Opened. 2. School Approval. 3. Must Be Annexed Into City Limits. The Mayor Stated There Was Talk About The School Being Notified. They Were Notified About The Hearing, But No Direct Contact With The Superintendent Or Anyone With The School. They Do Have A Meeting On Thursday Will You Guys From Nexamp Be Able To Attend That? Nexamp Attorney Stated They Are Working On Being Able Too. The Mayor Stated I Recommend To Approve To Adopt The Recommendation Of The Zoning Board. Commissioner Howard Made A Motion To Approve, Seconded By Commissioner Warren. Roll Call Vote: All Commissioners And Mayor Arview Voted To Approve. Motion Carried.
