Bluford Unit School District 318 Board of Education met April 24.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

A. Call to Order and Roll Call of the April 2025 Regular Board of Education Meeting 

B. Opportunity for Public Comment: (We would like to welcome our guests this evening. 

We would like to remind our guests that the School Board Meeting is a meeting held in public, not a public meeting. The Board invites public comment during this portion of the meeting. Our guests are asked to please be respectful of both time and differing opinions. When directed by the Board President, persons should stand, state their name, and begin their statements. Guests must refrain from making any personal comments regarding any individual. Guests are asked to limit comments made to the Board of Education to no more than five minutes. You are welcome to yield portions of your remaining time to someone else to complete their remarks to the Board of Education. Please be aware that the Board of Education may not respond to public comments.)

C. Approval of Consent Agenda

1. Approval of the Minutes for the March 20, 2025 Regular Board of Education Meeting;

2. Approval of Executive Session Minutes from March 20, 2025 to remain confidential;

3. Approval of Bills for April 2025;

4. Approval of Financial Reports for March 2025;

5. Approval of Suspensions Imposed by Building Administrators for March 2025;

6. Destruction of Executive Session Verbatim Recordings older than 18 months – that are not germane to litigation, pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2.06(c);

7. Authorize the Superintendent and District Bookkeeper to prepare the FY2026 tentative budget;

8. Approve the District to expend funds in order to cover the costs of salaries, materials and supplies for the 2025-2026 school year;

2. Action Item: Consider approval to set the Special Board Reorganizational Meeting for April 30, 2025 at 5:30PM in the BUSD District Office.

3. Action Item: Consider approval to post for bids for FY2026 for Fuel.

4. Action Item: Consider renewal of the Athletic Co-Op Agreement with Wayne City CUSD #100 for Boys/Girls Cross Country, Track, and Bowling.

5. Action Item: Consider the approval of the annual resolution of hazardous bus routes, as presented.

6. Action Item: Consider approval of a Resolution Authorizing the Sale of School Personal Property.

7. Action Item: Consider the approval to lease/purchase 3 Used 2021 International IC/CE 72 passenger Gasoline school buses from Midwest Transit Equipment from the Transportation Fund.

I. Executive Session:

To consider information regarding the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
