On Friday, April 18, former Mount Vernon High School standout Tyler Kemp’s current college team, the Knox Prairie Fire, won 8-6 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Lawrence Vikings.

The game took place at Whiting Field. This was their first matchup against the Vikings this season.

The Fire’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at 12 p.m. at Whiting Field against Lawrence Vikings.
