How much has Frankfort CUSD 168 overspent over the past 10 years?

Frankfort Community Unit School District 168 accumulated $527,776 in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a North Egypt News analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Frankfort CUSD 168 reported 13.6 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 24.1 percent.
