JEFFERSON COUNTY HISTORICAL VILLAGE AND MUSEUM: Rail Fence Restoration Completed

Railfench

Jefferson County Historical Village and Museum issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.

The 2018 Schweinfurth Foundation Trust Grant funded projects are essentially complete.

The rail fence restoration has been completed by Howard Christ and Stoney Williams. The remains of the old fence were removed earlier by volunteers from Central Christian Church, pictured below.

And it looks awesome as you can see here!! If you haven't already, come check it out.

The grant also funded the installation of a water faucet near the fence line to facilitate plant watering and area cleaning. The project required boring an underground line from the water supply at the back of the village. The work was completed by a contractor. Only cleanup remains to be completed.
