Ewing Northern Community Consolidated School District 115 Board met September 17.

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Board President Larry Webb.
Members Present: Adam Allsopp, Tom Harmon, Darren Fletcher, Victor Munoz, Jake Page, Larry Webb and Craig Zinzilieta.
Members Absent: None
Visitors present: Gretchen Conley, Mary Hart, Mandy Watkins, Linda Smith, Cheryll Webb, Gina Cozart, Kimmi Wyant, Rhonda Carlton, Debbie Webb
President’s Comm. *Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 6:00pm. The K-4 music classes will be performing.
*Baseball and softball season are going well. Regionals will begin this week. Baseball plays first game of Regionals tonight. Softball plays first game of Regionals Tuesday.
*After school tutoring started. We are running 4 sessions for 2nd grade, 3rd and 4th grade, and two 5th -8th grade sessions.
*The band will be performing at the BCHS Homecoming parade on Friday, September 21, 2018 and at the football game on Saturday. They will play alongside Benton #47 and Benton High School during the half time show.
* The Ewing Homecoming will be Saturday, Oct. 6 th with a BBQ dinner, carnival, and an auction with class baskets. All are welcome to come and enjoy the day. The Board would like to thank the ENSO officers and all that help make the carnival a success. A great deal of time and effort is put into this one day to raise money for EGS!
*The Board would like to acknowledge and Mr. Jerry as he retires after 18 years. They would like to wish him the best in his retirement.

Into executive session Motion by Larry Webb to go into executive session to discuss assignment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2© (1), as amended by P.A. 93- 0057. 2nd by Tom Harmon. 7 ayes (Darren Fletcher, Jake Page, Craig Zinzilieta, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, Adam Allsopp and Larry Webb). Regular session Motion by Tom Harmon to come out of executive session and go into regular session: 2nd by Victor Munoz.7 ayes (Darren Fletcher, Jake Page, Craig Zinzilieta, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, Adam Allsopp and Larry Webb). Out at 10:10pm.
Resolution 18-19 Budget Motion by Tom Harmon to adopt a resolution for the school budget for the 2018-2019 school year; 2nd by Darren Fletcher. 7 ayes (Jake Page, Darren Fletcher, Craig Zinzilieta, Adam Allsopp, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, and Larry Webb).
2018-2019 AFR Motion by Darren Fletcher to approve the 2018-2019 Annual Financial Report as presented by the Superintendent, Mrs. Kristin Ing. 2nd by Larry Webb. 7 ayes (Darren Fletcher, Adam Allsopp, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, Jake Page, Craig Zinzilieta, and Larry Webb).
ROE-Alternative School Program Motion by Tom Harmon to approve the ROE Alternative Schooling program asking for an annual fee plus additional daily fees if we use the program. 2nd by Victor Munoz 2 ayes (Tom Harmon and Victor Munoz) 5 nays (Darren Fletcher, Craig Zinzilieta, Jake Page, Adam Allsopp, and Larry Webb). Motion Did Not Pass.
Prevailing Wage Update Motion by Larry Webb to adopt the updated Prevailing Wage Rates as presented 2nd by Victor Munoz. 7 ayes (Victor Munoz, Tom Harmon, Darren Fletcher, Craig Zinzilieta, Jake Page, Adam Allsopp and Larry Webb).
Summer Projects Update on the Summer Projects
*Sinks in the west bathrooms are in and look very good.
* Roof is finished but has had a few leaks around A/C unit but Joiner Roofing has come out and worked on it every time we call.
*Dishwasher is installed.
*Gym Floor looks good and they fixed the holes where the screen fell.
*First Grade Floor is doing well and looks good.
ESSA Mrs. Ing presented information about the New Report Card that will be out in October. The ESSA plan and School Accountability will have ratings 1-4 tiers.
Second Reading Policies Motion by Larry Webb to adopt the Second Reading of Policies. 2 nd by Tom Harmon. 7 ayes (Darren Fletcher, Victor Munoz, Adam Allsopp, Craig Zinzilieta, Tom Harmon, Jake Page, and Larry Webb).
Hire Head Maintenance Motion by Larry Webb to hire Jerry Bell as the Head Maintenance/Bus Driver. 2 nd by Adam Allsopp. His salary was set at $17/hr for Maintenance and $14/hr for bus driver with a 90 day evaluation. 7 ayes (Adam Allsopp, Darren Fletcher, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, Jake Page, Craig Zinzilieta, and Larry Webb).

*Thank you to Darren Fletcher and wish you the best of luck in your new adventure and move to Idaho.
*Multi-function school bus discussed.
