Jefferson County approves both referendums on the Nov. 6 ballot.
One referendum that voters were in favor of was a county advisory question asking if the Illinois General Assembly should amend the state constitution to ban the implementation of a 1 percent statewide property tax increase.
With 100 percent of the votes counted, 10,468 were in favor and 2,957 opposed the measure.
The other referendum that Jefferson County approved was the Farrington CCSD 99 question, which called for the issuance of $225,000 in working cash fund bonds.
With 100 percent of the votes counted, 178 were in favor and 85 opposed the referendum.
