Congressman Mike Bost addressed the anniversary of the Israel-Hamas conflict, stating, "The United States of America will always stand with Israel and fight for its people right to live peacefully and securely," in an October 7 Facebook post.
"One year ago today, over 1,200 innocent people in Israel were murdered at the hands of Hamas and 251 were kidnapped," said Bost, U.S. Representative, according to Facebook. "Of those, 101 STILL remain in Hamas captivity. The United States of America will always stand with Israel and fight for it's people right to live peacefully and securely."
According to reports, both Israel and Hamas commemorated the one-year anniversary of their conflict on October 7, 2024. Israel held ceremonies organized by the government and families of those who died in last year's attacks. Concurrently, Hamas launched rockets at Tel Aviv, while Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas, fired over 170 rockets across the Lebanese border, as reported by the Associated Press. The situation has escalated with Israel now engaging Hezbollah in Lebanon.
