Report: Grand Prairie spent $9,751 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Grand Prairie Community Consolidated School District 6 is down 3.9 percent from five years ago, according to a North Egypt News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Jefferson County school district spent $10,148 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,751 in 2017-18.

The district's enrollment remained unchanged over the same period, with 78 students.

Grand Prairie's spending in 2017-18 was 26.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
