Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Franklin County?

There were 15 offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Franklin County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by North Egypt News.

The data shows that 11 men and four women were released in Franklin County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 39. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 64-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Melissa M. Beasley. She was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2013 when she was 29 years old. She is now 35.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
