City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on July 28.
The contractor's milling machine broke down and all streets included in the project are not yet completed. If your street is on the list to be milled and resurfaced, but was not milled this week, the contractors will be returning the week of August 5 to complete the milling work.
The milling project includes the following streets:
Ellis Drive
Pace Ave. – 11th to 9th St.
Homestead Dr. – Rt. 37 to Fairway Dr.
S. 20th St. – Broadway to Casey Ave.
N. 42nd St. – Richview to Windsor Place subdivision
E. Perkins – Rackaway to RR tracks
Casey Ave. – 15th to 12th St.
S. 15th St. – Cherry St. to Conger Ave
