The Ameren Illinois utility company continues to offer assistance to its customers who have had financial struggles as a result of COVID-19 and made it harder for them to pay their bills.
"Ameren Illinois customers from all walks of life are facing unprecedented economic hardship and we're fortunate to be in a position to support them," Ameren Illinois chairman and president Richard Mark said in a June press release about the launch of assistance to customers.
One of the ways it Ameren Illinois continues to help customers is through the Frest Start Program, the company said in the release. This mechanism provides help with paying bills and also allows eligible customers to extend the payment date or create a schedule.
