West City Fire District responded to 72 calls in 2018 - 10 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in West City included 50 fires - 30 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 13 other fires.

The department also received 22 false calls, including four malicious calls and 18 other false calls.
