PUBLIC COMMENT & CORRESPONDENCE
President Stacey asked for any public comments. Mallory Howell asked to address the board members. Mallory thanked the board for the possible approval of bringing some students back to in-person instruction. She indicated that this action still leaves quite a bit of S-V students that won't be coming back any more days or hours. She asked that the board weigh the benefits of having students return against the low risk of re-opening (children's mental health and academic benefit).
Roger Hicks arrived at 6:04 PM. Samantha Ketteman arrived (by phone) at 6:04 PM.
Lori Miller asked to address the board members. She asked the board when they are planning on returning the rest of the students (grades 3 and up). She presented information regarding the mitigations being lifted, and how the board is allowing students to play sports and not attend for in-person instruction. She asked the board to consider bringing the students back more days for in-person instruction.
President Stacey stated that she knows that the rooms have been set up in the K-2 classrooms to make sure the 6 social distance is maintained and the process of getting ready to bring back more students safely is on-going.
President Stacey asked for any other public comments. None were forthcoming.
