City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on Apr. 9.
In an effort to reach individuals in the local communities where they reside, the Illinois National Guard will be holding a walk-in COVID vaccination clinic for all individuals 18 and older at the Rolland Lewis Building, 800 S. 27th Street (Veterans Park), in Mt. Vernon.
The vaccine clinic will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, from 8am-6pm while doses are available. Vaccinations will be administered on a first come, first served basis. You cannot schedule an appointment time for this clinic.
You do NOT need to be a resident of Jefferson County and the vaccine is FREE.
As the clinic will be held indoors, please come wearing a face mask and maintain social distancing.
