Report: Waltonville School District spent $9,909 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Waltonville Community Unit School District 1 was up 7.6 percent from five years ago, according to the North Egypt News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Jefferson County school district spent $9,211 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,909 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 379 to 370 students over the same period.

Waltonville's spending in 2019-20 was 31.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
