Report: Thompsonville School District spent $9,457 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Thompsonville Community Unit School District 174 was up 14.6 percent from five years ago, according to the North Egypt News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Franklin County school district spent $8,252 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,457 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 346 to 324 students over the same period.

Thompsonville's spending in 2019-20 was 34.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
