Sesser-Valier Community Unit School 196 Board of Education met May 26.

CALL TO ORDER

A special meeting of the Board of Education of Sesser-Valier Community Unit School District No. 196 was held in the Sesser-Valier High School Conference Room at 6:30 PM. The meeting was called to order by President Megan Rounds at 6:30 PM. President Rounds appointed District Superintendent Jason Henry as recording secretary for the meeting.

ROLL CALL

District Superintendent Jason Henry called the roll with the following result:

Acosta, Barry, Menser, Rounds, Sample, Spence, Stacey

Members Absent:

None

Staff Present:

J. Henry, K. Jones

Visitors Present:

None

PUBLIC COMMENT & CORRESPONDENCE

None

NEW BUSINESS

APPROVAL OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT (SESSER-VALIER EDUCATION ASSOCIATION): A motion was made by Acosta and seconded by Stacey to approve a 3-year collective bargaining agreement between the District and the Sesser-Valier Education Association, as presented.

Roll call voting was as follows:

Yeas:

Barry, Menser, Rounds, Sample, Spence, Stacey, Acosta

Nays:

None

There being seven (7) yeas and zero (0) nays, the president declared that the motion carried.

APPROVAL OF SIDE-LETTER AGREEMENT (SESSER-VALIER EDUCATION ASSOCIATION; COVID-19 BONUS): A motion was made by Spence and seconded by Menser to approve a side-letter agreement between the District and the Sesser-Valier Education Association, as presented.

Nays:

None

There being seven (7) yeas and zero (0) nays, the president declared that the motion carried.

ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Stacey and seconded by Rounds to adjourn.

Voting was as follows: All voted yea. There being seven (7) yeas and zero (0) nays, the president declared that the motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 6:35 PM.
