The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's tennis team continued conference play on Wednesday, September 7 against the Grace College Lancers and the University of Saint Francis Cougars.
MVNU faced two tough challenges on the day, with the first coming against Saint Francis. MVNU battled hard, but ultimately fell by a final score of 0-7 in the end. The doubles matches were each tightly contested. Carter Jones and Andrew Hare, as well as Ryan Wolfe and Noah Hill, lost their matches by scores of 3-6. Clayton Amburgy and Ben Kindberg fought valiantly, but fell by a close final of 4-5. Amburgy and Hare each fought hard yet again in singles as they pushed their opponent to three games before accepting defeat.
The next match came against Grace, who is currently receiving votes in the National Poll. MVNU fell by a final of 0-5. Like it's match against USF, the men fought hard, but ended up running out of steam in the end.

MVNU will host Marian University and Indiana Wesleyan University on Saturday, September 10 at the Ramser Tennis Courts at 9:30am and 4:00pm.
