Here is the agenda provided by the council:

5. Presentation of Journals for the September 12, 2022, special City Council Meeting and September 19, 2022, regular City Council Meeting.

6. Visitors/Citizen Request/Addresses from the Audience.

Public Forum Rules of Participation Participants wishing to address the City Council on matters listed on the agenda or on any other matter directly relevant to the business of the City of Mt. Vernon shall do so during the Public Participation portion of the agenda. Each person wishing to speak during the Public Participation portion shall sign a Speaker's List at the meeting prior to the start of the meeting providing his/her name and the topic to be discussed. Speakers will be recognized by the Mayor in the order the speaker's name appears on the Speaker's List. Public participation portion of the meeting shall be limited to five (5) minutes per person. All participants are expected to exercise common courtesy and follow any rules of order established or announced by the Mayor and/or City Council.

9-B Request permission to waive bidding procedures to purchase three police squad cars.

9-C Request permission to close 9th St. from Main St. to Harrison St. on October 14, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a Vendor Fair.

9-D Presentation of Veterans Ave. and South 42nd Street Traffic Study,

9-E Approval of 2022 Comprehensive Plan.

10-A Second reading of an Ordinance to reduce the Planning and Zoning Commission to 5 (five) members

10-C Resolution authorizing acceptance of a proposal from Westport Pools for swimming pool service maintenance for the Aquatic Zoo

10-D Resolution approving Lincoln Park concession stand and field rental agreement with LLB Sports LLC.

10-E Resolution approving Lincoln Park field rental agreement with Jefferson County Little League.
