Rep. Paul Jacobs (R-Carbondale) is welcoming the endorsement of Republican House colleague Rep. Patrick Windhorst (R-Harrisburg).

“I am proud to have the endorsement of my good friend, fellow State Representative, brilliant legal mind, and true public servant Windhorst,” Jacobs wrote on Facebook. “Windhorst has been leading the fight against reckless anti-police policies.”

Jacobs was also endorsed by Rep. Blaine Wilhour (R-Effingham) recently. 

"I am proud to have the support of my good friend and fellow Southern Illinois Republican State Representative Blaine Wilhour in my race for re-election," Jacobs posted on Facebook. "Blaine is a strong advocate for the conservative agenda, and fights to protect life, and our Second Amendment Rights. Thank you Blaine!"

Jacobs will face Democratic candidate Van Ikner on the ballot in November.

Jacobs recently released a campaign ad on Facebook.

"Honor. Service. Commitment," Jacobs wrote in the post. "These are the values I live by, and the values I will continue to bring to Springfield as your State Representative."

Jacobs won the GOP primary in June by defeating business owner Aaron Smith with 68.3% of the vote.

Jacobs was first elected to the Illinois House in 2020. His legislative experience includes serving on the Tourism, and Higher Education committees. Jacobs resides in Pomona.
