The Mount Vernon Nazarene's University women's volleyball team had five players receive All-League honors from the Crossroads League on Tuesday, November 15.
Paige Brenner earned First-Team All-League recognition as a setter. Brenner had a great season as she compiled 1,100 assists, 116 kills, and 239 digs. The senior from Copley, Ohio was able to average 9.57 assists per set, 1.01 kills per set, and 2.08 digs per set.
Erica Gasser earned the honor of First-Team All-League as well as a middle hitter. Gasser was a force for the front row as she had 753 total attacks, 347 kills, and 77 total blocks for the season. The senior from Rittman, Ohio had a great season as she was able to average 3.02 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .331.
As a libero, Molly Galaszewski earned Second-Team All-Conference honors. Galazsewski was a vital part of Mount Vernon's backrow as she finished the season with 507 digs and 81 assists. The senior from Valley City, Ohio managed to average 4.37 digs per set and 0.70 assists per set.
Ashley Stumperth earned Second-Team All-Conference recognition as well as an outside hitter. Stumperth was able to get off 399 kills while having 1221 total attacks, and 191 digs. The senior from Canton, Ohio averaged 3.44 kills per set while maintaining a hitting percentage of .170.
The final player recognized was Jaelyn Tang. Tang earned All-Conference Honorable Mention and made the All-Freshman Team. Tang flashed a well-rounded game as she finished with 147 kills, 306 digs, and 40 service aces. The freshman from Mililani, Hawaii averaged 2.73 digs per set and 1.31 kills per set.
