In a Nov. 18 Facebook post, Rep. Dave Severin (R-Marion) wrote about his attendance at the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon. “Yesterday I was happy to attend the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon at Ringside,” says Severin. “A great turnout and a lot to be thankful for.”
The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of events, classes, and discounts for members of the organization. It celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021.
While Severin was at the Chamber meeting, he sent his district office director to represent him at a local ribbon cutting. He shared that information in a Facebook post.
"Thank you to my district office director Lorrie Snider for attending today's ribbon-cutting and grand reopening at the Herrin Walmart on my behalf," Severin said.
Severin was first elected to the Illinois House in 2017. His legislative experience includes serving on the Judiciary - Criminal, and Mental Health and Addiction committees. Severin resides in Benton.
