Minooka Community High School District 111 Board of Education met Dec. 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER

The hearing was called to order 6:00 p.m. by President Mike Brozovich. A physical quorum was present with the following board members in attendance: Matt Shepard, Terry Spivey, Dustin Heap, Laura Hrechko, Jim Grzetich and Mike Brozovich. Dee Crye, entered the hearing at 6:01 p.m.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

There were no comments from the audience.

PRESENTATION OF 2022/2023 PROPOSED LEVY

The 2022/2023 Proposed Levy Presentation was provided in the board packet for review. Assistant Superintendent John Troy reported that the (EAV) Equalized Assessed Value has consistently increased from 2016 to 2021. The 2022 Levy request is $46,888,000 and the 2022 estimated extension is $44,959,422 The estimated 2022 tax rate will be down to $2.3023. There were no concerns from board members and the Final Levy is anticipated for approval at the regular board meeting.

E-LEARNING

The E-Learning Resolution was provided in the board packet for review. Mr. Troy reported that by statute every 3-years the E-Learning Resolution needs to be reapproved. There were no changes from the Resolution approved 3-years ago. The Memorandum of Understanding with the MEA has been signed by Mr. Grosskopf. There were no questions or concerns from board members and the M.O.U and the Resolution are both anticipated for approval at the regular board meeting.

MOTION: by Shepard, seconded by Grzetich, to adjourn the hearing. Hearing no objections, Motion carried. Time: 6:11 p.m.
