Q4 2021 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Franklin County?

There were 15 offenders living in Franklin County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by North Egypt News.

The data shows all of the released offenders in Franklin County were men. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 35. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 57-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Ross M. Ragsdale. He was convicted of homicide in 2011 when he was 29 years old. He is now 41.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2021 in each Franklin County.
