A Board Training of Shawnee Community College District No. 531 Board of Trustees was held January 27, 2024 in the Founders Room. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Steve Heisner at 9:06am.

A motion was made by James Darden and seconded by Nancy Holt to accept the agenda as written. On roll call vote, the members voted as follows: J. Darden, D. Shelton-Yates, S. Heisner, N. Holt, A. Witthoft, and T. Schultz all voted Yea. A. Moore was absent. The Chairperson declared the motion carried. |

A motion was made by Andrea Witthoft and seconded by Tiffany Schultz for the Board to go into Executive Session at 9:10 am under exceptions (c)(1), (c)(11) and (c)(16) of the Open Meeting Act (5 ILCS 120.2). On roll call vote, the members voted as follows: J. Darden, D. Shelton-Yates, S. Heisner, N. Holt, A. Witthoft, and T. Schultz all voted Yea. A. Moore was absent. The Chairperson declared the motion carried. |

A motion was made by Nancy Holt and seconded by Tiffany Schultz to recommend the Board adjourn out of Executive Session at 9:53 am. On roll call vote, the members voted as follows: J. Darden, D. Shelton-Yates, S. Heisner, N. Holt, A. Witthoft, A. Moore and T. Schultz all voted Yea. The Chairperson declared the motion carried. |

A motion was made by Andrea Witthoft and seconded by Deborah Shelton-Yates to approve the minutes of the Executive Session held on January 27, 2024. On roll call vote, the members voted as follows: J. Darden, D. Shelton-Yates, S. Heisner, N. Holt, A. Witthoft, A. Moore and T. Schultz all voted Yea. The Chairperson declared the motion carried. |
