A regular board meeting was held on April 18, 2024 at Woodlawn Grade School. The meeting was called to order by Jeff Burkett at 6:00 pm. Roll Call was taken with the above members present. Also Present: Eric Helbig, Sara Hays, Sandra Kabat, Brian Gamber, Amy Orrill

A motion was made by Kyle Ritchey and seconded by Chad Phelps to go into closed session at 6:01 p.m. for the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity (5 ILCS 120/2 © (1) and Collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. (5 ILCS 120/2 ©, (2)).

A motion was made by Chase Phelps and seconded by Josh Trout to remploy all non-certified staff pending probation period completion.

A motion was made by Chad Phelps and seconded by Kyle Ritchey to honorably discharge the half-time paraprofessional effective at the end of this school year.

A motion was made by Kyle Ritchey and seconded by Josh Trout to remploy spring coaches as presented (excluding WHS Ethan Gowler as baseball coach).
All members present voted yes by a roll call vote.

A motion was made by Josh Trout and seconded by Chase Phelps to hire Claudia Lyles as kindergarten teacher for the 2024-2025 school year, beginning on step 16.
All members present voted yes by a roll call vote.

A motion was made by Chase Phelps and seconded by Jacob Frick to approve Jeff Burkett as WHS volunteer boys basketball coach.

Item VII 5. Approve 24-25 WHS course addition was died due to no motion. Item VII 6. Kindergarten remodel bids was tabled.
A motion was made by Jacob Frick and seconded by Chase Phelps to approve the epoxy floor bid for the WGS kitchen from Midwest Floor Coatings not to exceed $9200.00.
