Bluford Unit School District 318 Board of Education met Oct. 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Board President Jenny Sneed called the regular Board of Education meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Upon roll call the following members were present: Crystal Marlow, Jessica Case, Katelyn Lewis, Steve Tate, and Angela Schrum. Superintendent Adam Cross, Kim McCormick and visitor Ashley Snow.

Correspondence to the board, superintendent, principal, and maintenance report were addressed. Freedom of the Information requests were addressed.

Motion: Case-"approve consent agenda.”

Action: Roll Call Vote: Yeas: Marlow, Case, Lewis, Tate, Schrum, and Sneed. MOTION CARRIED.

Motion: Lewis-"declare district equipment as surplus for recycling as presented."

Action: Voice Vote: All Yeas: MOTION CARRIED.

Motion: Tate-"approve purchase of a new 2024 LS Series MT242 Tractor from Outdoor Energy, LLCC for $27589.00 from Operations and Maintenance Fund."

Action: Roll Call Vote: Yeas: Marlow, Case, Lewis, Tate, Schrum, and Sneed. MOTION CARRIED.

Motion: Schrum-"approve purchase of tractor implements including a 6 foot bush hog, 6 ft. box blade, 42 inch for set, 66 inch grapple and 72 in snow plow from Outdoor Energy, LLC for $8972.19 from the Operations and Maintenance Fund!"
