PRESENTATION OF 2024/2025 PROPOSED LEVY

The 2024/2025 Proposed Levy Presentation was provided in the board packet for review. Assistant Superintendent John Troy reported at the levy hearing that the fund balance disclosures and the 3-year Operation Fund Expenditure Ratio were presented in accordance with 105 ILCS 5/17-1.10 and -1.3. The (EAV) Equalized Assessed Value has consistently increased from 2016 to 2023. The 2024 Levy request is $51,312,125 and the 2024 estimated extension is $51,235,728. The estimated 2024 tax rate will be down to $2.19. Mr. Grzetich requested that the information presented be published so that the public recognizes that property taxes are not increasing due to the districts tax rate. The district tax rate is decreasing. Dr. Schiffbauer suggested that a video or voice over presentation can be linked to the weekly newsletter for families and social media outlets for the community. Mr. Hoyt also suggested that this information be communicated to students as well. There were no concerns from board members and the Final Levy is anticipated for approval at the regular board meeting.

ADJOURNMENT

Hearing no objections, the meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
