State Rep. Terri Bryant (R -Murphysboro) will be running for Senate this year. Bryant announced her big decision to attempt to replace Sen. Paul Schimpf (R-Waterloo) in Senate District 58 on Aug. 27 at the Du Quoin State Fair.
Sen. Paul Schimpf (R-Waterloo) said that voters should be able to choose who draws the lines for redistricting in their communities, and will be able to do so via the SJRCA 4 bill, which allows for a non-partisan redistricting plan that would allow constituents to chose who draws maps and weigh in on the outcome.
