Illinois General Assembly: HR212 To Sales, Amusement & Other Taxes Subcommittee

The following action was taken on May 9 in the House on House bill HR212 ("no financial transactions tax"): "To Sales, Amusement & Other Taxes Subcommittee."

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Joe Sosnowski (R-69) on March 20, "opposes the concept of a privilege tax on financial transactions," according to the General Assembly website.

The following house representatives also co-sponsored the bill: Mark Batinick (R-97), Terri Bryant (R-115), Dan Caulkins (R-101), Andrew S. Chesney (R-89), Jeff Keicher (R-70), Michael T.
