How much has McClellan CCSD 12 overspent over the past 10 years?

McClellan Community Consolidated School District 12 accumulated $749,715 in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a North Egypt News analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, McClellan CCSD 12 reported 22.1 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 27.9 percent. The resulting deficit grew by 102.3 percent from 2008 to 2017.
