There were 4,208 white students enrolled in Jefferson County school districts in the 2021-22 school year, 0.9% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that white students made up 76.7% of the 5,488 students in Jefferson County during the 2021-22 school year. They were the most represented ethnicity.

Among the 14 districts in Jefferson County, Mount Vernon Township High School District 201 recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 858 students.
