According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 133 students during the year. This equates to 11 percent of the 1,164 students enrolled.
Students were expelled for 20 incidents with violence that caused physical injury, 43 incidents with violence without physical injury, 46 incidents with alcohol and tobacco, 20 incidents with drugs, four incidents with a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for tobacco, of which there were 46. There were five incidents of violence with injury. For 47 incidents, students were suspended for one to two days.
Boy students received 70 suspensions, while 63 girls were suspended.
